Almost every health care professional will tell you that diet and exercise are essential to optimum health. Your own body will tell you the same thing but, you have to take time to listen to what your body is saying.
Whats Your Body Saying?
Our bodies talk to us ever so gently that if you are not attentive you miss the suggestion. Suddenly your short of breath or you stoop down to pick a pencil off the floor and it wasn’t as easy as it was “yesterday”.
I could go on and on about those little signs but, you get the point. They are our bodies’signals that it’s time for “diet” and exercise.
Diet And Exercise?
That doesn’t mean you need to run a couple of miles every day or for that matter stay on a 500 calorie diet for the rest of your life.
Each one of us God created to be different, no two of us are alike. What works for me is not necessarily going to work for you.
That’s one of the reasons for so many diet and exercise programs. If one program worked for all it would be simple but God didn’t create us that way. We are all wonderfully made and different from each other. Because of this we gain weight in different places. For some it’s a big gut, others deal with a hefty butt while others combat “thunder thighs”.
One look at your body and you can tell where the extra weight is hanging out. That’s the area you concentrate your exercise program around.
We’re All Different?
It is the same problem as far as diet is concerned. Not only do we have different dietary needs but our hectic lifestyles lead us all in different directions. What is perfect for you and your schedule might be a terrible fit for your best friend.
What we have done is taken the very best Diet and Exercise programs, ones that have proven themselves to be of outstanding quality and benefit for a wide range of individuals and reviewed them. We list the good points as well as what we believe to be their bad points.
This enables you to make an informed decision on which of these programs would fit into your life and lifestyle.
You know your body, what it likes and what it doesn’t like. The old adage of “no pain no gain” is just as true today as it was years ago. You need to control your body and not let food and the couch control you.
I don’t like to diet and exercise but a trip down the road with the sirens blaring and the lights flashing changed my perspective on diet and exercise. Maybe you haven’t been on that exciting trip, it’s definitely not fun, but you know whether you’re a candidate for that trip or not.
Me? Not Me – I’m Indestructible!
Don’t kid yourself it can happen to you. It is entirely your choice whether it happens or not. You have the ability and will power to stop the unhealthy cycle, no one can make you do it, you have to want to do it for yourself and your family.
